Momentum at Café Momentum
On October 10, we’re gathering at Café Momentum, a nonprofit restaurant redefining second chances for Pittsburgh youth. Enjoy a multi-course dinner, a hands-on mocktail demo with Café Momentum’s young talent, and the chance to give back! Bid on a one-of-a-kind Momentum Art piece, with proceeds supporting the program.

As Learning Chair, I’m excited to invite you to our next Momentum-themed event at Café Momentum, a nonprofit restaurant changing lives right here in Pittsburgh.
This event embodies our Momentum theme by spotlighting growth, resilience, and the power of second chances. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, connect, and be inspired while supporting an organization that is driving real impact in Pittsburgh.
What is Café Momentum?
Café Momentum provides year long paid employment and life-skills training to justice-impacted youth ages 15–19. Through hands-on rotations in every part of the restaurant, interns gain experience, financial independence, and critical support systems to help them succeed.
• Interns earn $13–16/hour with free transportation to and from work.
• They receive 24/7 mental health support, tutoring, and financial literacy courses.
• The program offers free meals, hygiene supplies, and personal items to help stabilize their daily lives.
• Since launching in 2023, Café Momentum Pittsburgh has served more than 120 interns.
Why it matters
Café Momentum is transforming the way our city sees young people who have faced challenges in the juvenile justice system. With the right mentorship, resources, and support, these kids consistently exceed expectations—building brighter futures for themselves and our community.
Special Highlight: Live Auction
During this event, we’ll be auctioning off the custom painting entitled Momentum, created by Patrick McCafferty, from our EO kickoff event at the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden. This is your chance to take home a one-of-a-kind piece of art that symbolizes our chapter’s momentum while directly supporting a cause aligned with our values.
